These Chunky Cotton Canvases from Loxley Gold are well known by artists over the world for their professional quality and finish. Each of the canvases included measure 40 inches by 40 inches and have been triple primed with a rich and highly pigmented primer giving a smooth texture to the cotton canvas that is ideal for all techniques such as wet-on-wet or impasto in Acrylic, Oil and Alkyd paints.

This unique coat priming formula provides a surface with great tooth and adhesion that can hold paint well whilst preventing colour sink and cotton fibres degrading. Every canvas is hand stretched over wooden stretcher bars and secured on the reverse leaving the sides to be void of fastenings, with the edges of the frame having a depth of 36mm.

Thanks to the neat presentation this provides along with the elegantly tailored corners, the finished artwork can be left unframed for a modern and bespoke look.

    I like the sizes, the canvas is fine for my work and the frame is well constructed for this sizes. Even for bigger canvases.

    The Loxley Gold canvases are well made with sturdy frames and triple primed cotton duck weave. Two canvases, each more than a square meter, at less than £45 for the pair, represents very good value for money. They arrived promptly and were well packed. A good buy.
